Introduction: Degree Program of MICE

Since 2009 MICE industry has been enlisted on the strategic developing ones in service criteria by government efforts due to its advantage to lead high productivity, added value, innovative efficiency and employment rate. It is a bellwether of a variety of service industries and upgrades the utility and effect of technology, assets and human resource.

Taiwan’s MICE Industry Pilot Program, scheduled to run from 2013 to 2016, is aimed at turning Taiwan into a leader for outstanding MICE services with the long-term objective to enhance the quality and efficiency of services, strengthen Taiwan’s brand and sharpen the competitive edge in the global market and make Taiwan one of the top destinations for MICE business.

Degree Program of MICE, Taipei Chengshih University of Science and Technology, was established in 2010 with a 4-year undergraduate program majoring in MICE field academically and industrially. Honesty, Innovation, Practice and Applicability, which formed the core value of College of Business and Management, underlie the prerequisite bases of this program.

Education Goal

The program nurtures “the Organizers of Convention and Exhibition” and “Project Managers of Event and Incentive Travel” to meet this critical demand of MICE human resource. For this demand, students within 4-year learning stage are required to obtain the applicable skill and embrace enthusiasm both in theory and practice with trend insight on this industry.

To reach our education goal, there are viable and inspired activities of lecturing, visiting and contesting to encourage students’ participation, while courses conducting by industry personnel provide the cutting-edge knowledge and development of this field. The most appealing trait of the program is a multiple choice of Off-Campus Internship, including 2-month (summer vacation), a semester and a school year.
